Elbert the son of Oliver Alonzo and Lena Jane Higgins Harris. Pearl the daughter of George W. and Mollie Belle Milligan Mullen.
Pearl Lucille Mullen Harris, 91, of Strawberry joined her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in a Cave City nursing home.
Born Sept. 26, 1912, at Strawberry, she was the daughter of George W. and Mollie Belle Milligan Mullen. She was a retired and much loved school teacher, basketball coach and player as well, having taught at Strawberry and Lynn, and was a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Jim P. Harris of O'Fallon, Mo.; a brother, Paul Von Mullen of Strawberry; three grandchildren, Steven Harris of O'Fallon, Karen Harris of St. Charles, Mo., and Ryan Harris of Wauchula, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert J. Harris; three brothers, Ransom Mullen, Claude Mullen and Hoyle Mullen; two sisters, Maude Denton and Ruth West; and 12 half-brothers and -sisters.
The funeral was held at Strawberry Church of Christ with Tommy Boles officiating. Burial at Ward Cemetery at Strawberry under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Ken Mullen, Patty Huskey, Tom Whitlow, Gary West, Ricky Clem and Gene Denton.
