Edmund the son of James Henry "Buster" Harris and Rosella (Brown) Harris. Kathleen the daughter of William Baxter Hugg and Allie Lou (Gardner) Hugg.
E. O. Harris Edmund O. Harris, aged 75, of Saffell, died Monday at his home. Born in Saffell, he was the son of James Henry and Rosella (Brown) Harris, and a lifetime resident of the area.
Mr. Harris owned and operated a farm and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Hugg) Harris; a son, Eddie Sherron Harris of Saffell; two daughters, Marilyn Gill Craig of Powhatan and Sherry Annette Nunnally of Saffell; a brother, Iveron Harris of Strawberry; two sisters, Viva Huskey and Audra Bunn, both of Walnut Ridge; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was to be this afternoon at 2:00 in the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church with Dexter Preston and Carl Cates officiating. Burial was to be in the Lincoln-Ward Cemetery under direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home.

Kathleen Hugg Harris, 82, of Saffell, died Jan. 4, 2003, at St. Bernard’s in Jonesboro. Born April 14, 1919, in Strawberry, she was the daughter of William Baxter and Allie Lou Gardner Hugg.
She was a homemaker and a member of Saffell Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Oliver Harris; a brother, Kenneth Hugg; and a half-brother, Gardner Williams.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Harris, Saffell; two, daughters, Sherry Ring, Saffell, and Marilyn Craig, Powhatan; a sister, Florine Coleman, Dowdy; nine grand- children; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry with Revs. Harold Boyd and J.W. Richey officiating. Higginbotham Funeral Service had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Donald Coleman, David Allen, Danny Hugg, Rickey Huskey, Tom Harris and Wendell Saffell.
