FAYETTEVILLE — Johnny "Doodle" Evans, 67 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Katherine's Place.
He was born Oct. 23, 1945, in McAlester, Okla., to Jay and Dollie Evans.
He started his career and passion at a young age as a truck driver and has traveled the United States until his retirement about seven years ago.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father, Jay Evans; two sons, Scotty Evans and wife Mary and Keith Evans and wife Amy both of Elkins; brother, Hank Evans and wife Carol of Fayetteville; sister, Donna Spears and husband Randy of Farmington; six grandchildren, Scotty, Jacob, Brandon, Ethan, Layne and Ben and several other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, with Pastor Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will be at Farmington Cemetery are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel. A viewing will be held at the graveside prior to the service.
