FAYETTEVILLE — Dollie L. Evans, 87, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Pittsburg, Okla., to Carl Wilson and Dollie (Howard) Wilson.

She was a sales clerk at Walmart for 44 years, beginning her career at store #6 and traveling around with Sam Walton opening new stores. She was a member at Living Faith Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville. She was a former Sunday school teacher and loved quilting, doll collecting, gardening, and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Evans; two sons, Henry L (Hank) Evans and wife, Carol, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Johnny Lynn (Doodle) Evans and wife, Jackie, of Greenland, Ark.; daughter, Dawna Spears and husband, Randy, of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister, Billie Sue Evans and husband, John, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; brother, Raymond Wilson and wife, Dorothy, of Princeton, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Living Faith Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, Ark.

Memorial contribution may be made to the bus ministry at Living Faith Pentecostal Church, 1351 S. Morningside, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
