He married Debbie Billingsley June 24, 1977, and to this union three children were born. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, husband, father, “papa”, provider and friend. After military service and his return to Arkansas, Donnie served as an Izard County Deputy Sheriff and Sargent Field Rider for the Arkansas Department of Corrections. From 1995-1998, he fulfilled a life long dream of serving two terms as Izard County Sheriff. He then joined C.P.I. (Civilian Police International) and served tours of duty in Kosovo and Iraq. As Chief Inspector of the Kosovo Police Service, he provided leadership to nearly one thousand national and international police officers. He transitioned to the farm in 2007, and began building his cattle business. In 2012 he launched Yancey Poultry.
