Minnie L. Cates, 87, of Little Rock, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008.
Born on March 16, 1920, in North Little Rock, she was the daughter of Murray and Ninnie Laughlin.
Mrs. Cates was a schoolteacher in El Dorado before retiring in LaMarque, Texas. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Betty Walsh of Malvern and Neva Callender of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one brother, Wallace Laughlin of Spring Lake, Minn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth in Little Rock with the Rev. Stan Parrish officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery in El Dorado.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Mission Offerings, or to the Heifer International, 1 World Ave., Little Rock, AR 72202.
