March 9, 1912 - July 3, 1973
John Henry Cates, 61, of 4621 Samuel Blvd., Dallas, Tex., died Wednesday. He was a former resident of El Dorado, a veteran of WWII, and a Baptist. He was a manager for Classified Parking Systems. Born March 9, 1912, in Union County, he was the son of Henry and Katie Harrison Cates. He is survived by Mrs. Hazel Cates, Dallas; one son, Ronald E. Cates, Rockwell, Tex., a brother, Graden H. Cates, Junction City; two sisters, Mrs. T. C. Tolbert and Mrs. Myrtle Justice, both of El Dorado. Funeral services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Young's Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Pallbearers - N. F. Williamson, Walter Padlock, W. W. Foster, Brodie Norris, J. F. Foster, Alfred C.
