Carl Eli Gibson, 68, Wheeler, died April 20 at a Fayetteville hospital. Born Feb. 17, 1907 in the Zion community, he was the son of John and Sally Greathouse Gibson. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Girtha Gibson of the home; one son, J.W. Gibson; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Dunlap, Wheeler, and Mrs. Phyllis Keith, Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Jess Gibson, Goodman, Mo., Orville Gibson, Oildale, Calif. and Carmen Gibson, Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Chesser, Wyandotte, Okla., Mrs. Ruby Miller, Caruthers, Calif., and Mrs. Crystal Young, Lamont, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the White Oak Community Church near Wheeler. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Wasson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Girtha Ratliff Gibson, 63, resident of the Wheeler community, died April 16 in a Fayetteville hospital. The daughter of William Dudley and Martha Faubus Ratliff, she was a retired laundry employe.
Survivors include one son, J.W. Gibson, Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Dunlop, Wheeler, and Mrs. Phyllis Keith, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Ogle, and Mrs. Freda Newberry, both of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Mildred Greenlee, Springdale, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in White Oak Church. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Watson Mortuary.
