Christopher Columbus (Lum) Gibson, 81, died late yesterday afternoon at his home near Springdale. He was born in Spring Valley. A basket-weaver, he was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Gibson; four sons, George, John, Bill and Denver, all of Springdale; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Richards of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Nancy Curry and Mrs. Maudie Kelly, both of Fayetteville; two brothers, John Gibson of Bakersfield, Calif., and Eli Gibson of Okiana, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Dana Matthews of Eureka Springs; 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements under direction of the Nelson-Savage Funeral Home are incomplete.
