George Harrison Gibson, 89, of 1319 Hembree Lane, Springdale, died Dec. 11 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1890, at Spring Valley, he was the son of Christopher Columbus and Alice Brown Gibson and was the widower of Oved Bell Smith Gibson. He was a member of Caudle Avenue Baptist Church and was well known in handcraft circles as a weaver.

Survivors include three sons, Harvey Gibson of Greenland, Earl Gibson of Winslow and Don Gibson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Nakai of Tontitown and Mrs. Thelma Turner of Springdale; three brothers, John Gibson of Brentwood, Bill Gibson of West Fork and Denver Gibson of Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Richards of Clarkston, Wash., Mrs. Nancy Curry and Mrs. Maudie Kelly of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sisco Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery.

Mrs. Oved Bell Gibson, 72, 1308 Hembree Ave., Springdale, died April 11 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born June 19, 1905, at Sonora, she was the daughter of Joshua and Martha Yarberry Smith and a member of Caudle Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, George H. Gibson of the home; three sons, Harvey Gibson of Springdale, Earl Gibson of Winslow and Don R. Gibson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. George (Juanita) Nakai of Tontitown and Mrs. Edward (Thelma) Turner of Springdale; one brother, Alfred I. Smith of Fayetteville; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

Services for Mrs. Oved Bell Gibson, 72, 1308 Hembree Lane, Springdale, were held at 2 p.m. today in the Sisco Chapel with Larry Potts officiating. Burial was in Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

Pallbearers were Frankie Kelly, Joe Kelly, Leonard Kelly, Roland Kelly, Tony Kelly and Jimmy Kelly.
