Horace Oliver Holland, 68, of Route 1, Box 274, Hindsville, died Jan. 30, 1986 at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born June 27, 1917 at Huntsville, the son of Will A. and Ollie A. Lollar Holland. He was a farmer, a former employee of the state Livestock Sanitation Commission and was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he was an inspector.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel M. Traver Holland of the home; one son, Allen H. Holland of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanie L. Gibson of Jonesboro and Miss Robin S. Holland of Springdale; his mother, Mrs. Ollie A. Holland of Springdale; one brother, George Holland of Wichita, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Ona Harvey of Springdale; three grandsons; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 1 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ramsey officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Russ Bartholomew, Tom Dotson, Doug Edwards, Bill Fitch, Frankie Fitch and Jon Fitch. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Shipley, Gus Boatright, Don McCarthey, Riley Collins, C.J. Thomas, Dick Haegele, Richard Burr, Cotton Lawson, Otto Stamps, Hubert Siler and Jerry Bolinger.

Hazel Mary Holland, 84, of Springdale died Saturday at her home.
She was born at Doland, S.D., the daughter of Calvin Laurence and Edna Ruth Blodgett Traver.
She was a homemaker, having spent many years on the Holland farm in Hindsville. From the late 1940s through 1957, she and her husband owned and operated Holland Grocery near Hindsville. She had many friends at the Madison County Senior Activity Center in Huntsville, where she enjoyed quilting, giggling and helping with many of the volunteer programs. Hazel also enjoyed making rag rugs, and she loved spending time with her family.
She was the widow of Horace Oliver Holland, whom she married on May 27, 1939, and who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Victor Edmund Traver; and one grandson, Stanley Gaylon Gibson.
Survivors include one son, Allen Holland of Farmington; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeanie and Charles Gibson of Jonesboro and Robin Holland of Springdale; one brother, John Traver of Huntsville; five sisters, Violet Sisk and Ella Watson, both of Huntsville, Mildred Cordell of Springdale, Ruth Havens of Denison, Texas, and Juna Grimes of Stockton, Calif.; three grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, Scott Gibson of Jonesboro, Jay and Kaylynn Holland of Lamar and Shane and Rhonda Gibson of Williford; and six great-grandchildren, Levi and Emily Gibson, both of Dixie, Chris and Alexia Holland, both of Lamar, and Luke and Jodi Gibson, both of Jonesboro.
Funeral services were in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Chuck Bengtson officiating. Interment was in Huntsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Gibson, Jay Holland, Shane Gibson, Tommy Holland, Mary Garrison and Cliff Palikij.
