Fred P. Thompson, 69, former resident of Siloam Springs, died Dec. 24 in a Johnson City, Tenn., hospital. Born April 19, 1906 at Robinson, he was the son of George W. and Lora Persell Thompson and a member of the Christian Church. He was a retired officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and a member of Key Lodge No. 7, F. and A.M. He moved to Johnson City, Tenn., from Siloam Springs two months ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie A. Thompson of the home; one son, Fred Thompson Jr., Johnson City, Tenn.; and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Horne, Alhambra, Calif.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Jack Steele officiating. Burial will be in Yell Cemetery under the direction of Wasson.
