James W. Thompson

GENTRY — James William Thompson, 93, of Gentry died Dec. 8, 2005, at Bentonville. He was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Trian, Neb, to Gilbert Edmond and Della Mae Mann Thompson.

Survivors include one son, Ernest Thompson and wife Sandra of Gentry; one daughter, Linda Doss and husband Frank of Rogers; six
grandchildren, Steven Doss of Oklahoma, Brian Doss of Rogers, Darrell Doss of Cave
Springs, Scott Thompson of Plano, Texas, and Grey Ivey of Centerton, Melissa Thompson
Jones of Russellville; 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Burial will be in Coffelt Cemetery at Centerton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Rollins.

ROGERS — Leota Jayne Thompson, 78, of Rogers died Sept. 8, 1999 at her home. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Oilton, Okla., to Ernest and Frances Berlin Meredith. She moved to Rogers in 1975 and was a member of First Assembly of God where she taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was a former employee of Daisy Manufacturing and was also a member of the Gideons International Women's Auxiiiary. She enjoyed painting, writing poetry and quilting.

Survivors include her husband, James "J.W." Thompson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Eddy Thompson and Sandy of Colcord, Olla,; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Doss and Frank of Rogers; five brothers, Harry Meredith of California, Bob Meredith of Modesto, Calif., John Meredith of Rogers, Carl Wayne Meredith of Fort Worth, Texas, and David Meredith of Indianola, Okla,; two
sisters, Lelia Gahagan of Springfield, Mo, and Ines Henderson of Decatur; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Clyde Brummett officiating. Burial will be in Coffelt Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Rcgers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may he made to Gideons International. PO. Box 1034, Rogers, 72756,. or St. Marys Hospice, 1200 W. Walnut St., Rogers, 72756.
