January 9, 1975 - June 21, 2009
Rodney Dean Melton, age 34, went to be with his Lord, June 21, 2009. He was of the Baptist Faith. He loved restoring old cars and had a passion for muscle cars. Rodney will be greatly missed he was the type of man that would go to great lengths to help even a stranger out. He was unselfish and he loved it when he could help others. He has a heart that is to big to describe.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie and Bessie Melton and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Melton.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Carol Sandefur of Batesville; his father, Dean Melton of Cushman and one sister, Carla Melton of Batesville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 5-7 P.M. at Willis Funeral home Chapel in Batesville. Services will be at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Willis Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers are Randy Ford, Randy Palmer, Jody Dunegan, Jessie Phelps, Donnie McBride, Mark McCollum, Warren Ballard and J.D. Dillehay.
Honorary pallbearers are Chester Melton, James Melton, Matthew Melton, Jimmy Bennett, Butch McCullum and Ricky Owens.
