Kenneth J. Melton, age 60, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 in a local hospital. Born on February 12, 1947 in Batesville, he was the son of Henry C. Melton and Alene Slagles Melton.
He was an iron worker and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his father, Henry C. Melton of Batesville; two sons, David R. Melton of Mt. Pleasant and Kenny Melton, Jr. of Charleston, MO; two daughters, Tobi J. Berman of Salado and Dawn Melton Blum of Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, James H. Melton and Chester W. Melton both of Batesville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services are Sunday, December 23, 2:00 p.m., at the Willis-Hays Chapel in Batesville with burial to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be James Ray Melton, Brady Melton, Sky Clark, Lonnie Clark, Russell Melton and Donnie McBride.
Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Melton and Dean Melton.
Visitation is Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m.
