Eva Bowen Buttry, 96, of Bentonville, died Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Bentonville Manor.
She was born May 9, 1899, in Leon, Kans., to T.H. and Laura Bowen. She was a homemaker. She married Loren H. Buttry in Pea Ridge in 1916. They moved to Bentonville and raised their family. She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters and one son.
Survivors include four sons, Loren Hurley Buttry of Joplin, Mo., Joe F. Buttry of Augusta, Kans., Charles L. Buttry of Decatur and J.D. Buttry of Bentonville, 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Bentonville, the Rev. John E. Lightsey officiating. Burial was in Buttram Chapel Cemetery, Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville directing.
