Mary Mildred Haskins Buttry, age 94, passed from this life surrounded by her family into the loving arms of Jesus on December 29th, 2019. Mildred was born August 7, 1925 in Tontitown, Arkansas to James Calvin (Cal) Haskins and Martha Ellen "Witt" Haskins. She was the last of 8 children. She was preceded in death by her 7 siblings: Leonard Haskins, Nova Sullivan, Ethel Lockhart, Della Findley, Alpha Holt, Minnie Garrett and Doyle Haskins.

She was a loving and devoted wife to Wayman Dean Buttry, who preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by 2 daughters: Janice Lynn Buttry Fitzgerald and Gloria Diane Buttry Borgsmiller, 2 grandchildren: Jeremy Stevens and Jessica Grout. Her beloved great grandchildren are: Crissy and Zella.

Mildred spent most of her life in Northwest Arkansas where she was a homemaker. After the death of her husband, she moved to be near her daughter, Gloria.

Mary was born Mary Mildred Haskins, but we knew her by many other names: Mom, Ma Mary, Grandma Millie, Moo Moo and Aunt Mildred.

She loved her independence, but most of all her family (especially visits from her two great-granddaughters). She loved supporting many charities and preachers. She loved pizza, Dr. Pepper and home grown tomatoes. She was adored by her 18 nieces and nephews who are scattered from coast to coast. Especially Martha Holt-Nichols, Charlsie Griffith, Pat King, Gene Holt and Linda May.

At her request, there will be no funeral. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Wayman in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's name to James and Betty Robison [LIFE Outreach International] charity whose organization drills wells for those in need.

Cremation is under the direction of Mark Griffith Funeral Home in Tulsa, OK.
