Little Mabel Christine Buttry, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Buttry and granddaughter of Capt. and Mrs. T.H. Bowen of Bentonville and of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Buttry of Pea Ridge, died at the home of her parents on East Twelfth Street, Bentonville at 5:45 o’clock Monday morning, September 16th, 1929 following an illness of several weeks. Mabel Christine was born here in Bentonville June 22nd, 1919 and passed away at the age of 10 years, two months and 24 days. She was next to the oldest of five children and besides her parents and four grandparents is survived by four brothers, Hurley, Joe, LeRoy and Kenneth Buttry, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, September 17th at Buttram’s Chapel southwest of Pea Ridge, conducted by the Rev. R.S. Hayden, pastor of the Bentonville Methodist Episcopal Church, South and interment made in the Buttram Chapel cemetery.
