Obituary
Zada Pearl Tate, 96, of Melbourne died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Pioneer Nursing Home.
She was born June 9, 1911 at Gid, Arkansas, the daughter of Ewing Eldridge Twilley and Mary Warnett Twilley.
Zada married Jewel W. Tate on January 9th, 1937 at Gainsville, Missouri. She was an owner and operator of a grocery store. She was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed Christian music and loved to sing "O Say but I'm Glad". She was a happy person and her words to everyone always were "The Lord willing".
She is survived by a son, Terry Tate of Brockwell; brother, E. L. Twilley of California; sister, Estell Lane of Batesville; six grandchildren, Tammy Brock, Chuck Tate, Rodger Tate, Robin Anderson, Adam Tate, and Ashley Tate; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jewell Tate; one son, Jerry Tate; four sisters, Elsie Coleman, Frankie Lane, Clara Tate, Eulafay Jones; two brothers, Alford Twilley and Virgil Twilley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne officiated by Bro. Hoover Lewis and Bro. Arlie Strong.
Burial will be at Reeves Pine Grove Cemetery at Guion by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers are Adem Tate, Chuck Tate, Johnathon Starnes, Cole Tate, Michael Starnes, and Casey Tate.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2007
