Burton Vance Tate the husband of Mary Frances (Miller) Tate. Burton Vance Tate son of Burton Michael Tate and Della Gertrude (O'Neal) Tate. Mary Frances (Miller) Tate daughter of James Calvin Miller and Winnifred (Westmoreland) Miller.
Burton Vance Tate, son of the late Burton Michael Tate and Della Gertrude O'Neal Tate, was born September 3, 1933. He departed this life September 17, 2015, in Salem at the age of 82.
He is survived by one sister; Diane Kent of Springfield; one grandson, Chance Tate of Melbourne; one daughter, Barbara Tate of Melbourne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, one brother and two sisters.
Memorial services were September 21, at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Burial was at Melbourne Cemetery.

Melbourne - Funeral services for 62 year old Mary Frances Miller Tate will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Doyne Robertson officiating. Mrs. Tate died Jan. 23, 2000 in Batesville.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1937 to James Calvin and Winnifred Westmoreland Miller.
She married Vance Tate on Oct. 21, 1955 in Melbourne.
During her working years, she was employed at the Bank of North Arkansas as vice president of operations. Mrs. Tate was a volunteer with Ozarka Talent Corporation at Ozarka College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Vance, of the home; one son, Van Tate of Melbourne, one sister, Doris Russell of Melbourne, one brother, James E. Miller of Melbourne; and one grandson, Chance Tate of Melbourne.
Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will be at the Melbourne Cemetery.
