HUNTSVILLE — Rex D. Murphy, 74, of Huntsville died Sept. 19, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Tontitown to William H. and Clarence Nicholson Murphy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from EPC in Fayetteville after 28 years of employment.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Sizemore Murphy of the home, to whom he was married Sept. 30, 1959; one son, Steve Murphy and wife Teresa of Sonora; two daughters, Sheila Murphy of Rogers and Teresa Rogers of Springdale; one brother, Bobby L. Murphy of Jones, Okla.; two grandchildren, Tommy and Christina Rogers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Joe Dorman and Wayne Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry McGee, Archie Blair, Tim Sizemore, Johnnie Sizemore, Dewayne Sizemore and Darrell McGuire.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.
