Tommye K. Clark, 71, of Melbourne passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born on April 25, 1936 in Melbourne, the daughter of George Hayden and Catherine (Harris) Roberts.
She had been in the banking business sine 1984 and was a retired from First Community Bank as a mortgage lender. She liked to watch sports and was a Razorback fan. In her younger years, she coached basketball, loved to entertain and play cards. Her family and friends was the most important thing to her and gave her the most pleasure in her life. She was a member of the Sigma, Sigma, Sigma and Phi Beta Phi sororities. Tommye was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Martinez of Napa, California; four grandchildren: Jennifer, Jonathan, Jacob and Chelsea Kathleen Martinez; one niece, Melinda Caporossi of Ohio; and one nephew, Burke Roberts of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Ellen Roberts also of Arizona and many other relatives and friends.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Roger and George Clark and her brother, Charles Roberts.
There is no visitation planned.
A graveside gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
