Baxter Gilbert Sims 74 of Newark, passed away Monday at the Newport hospital. He was born in Izard County, was a retired farmer and a member of the Church Of God.
Mr Sims is survived by his wife, Mrs Grace Sims, of the home; seven sons: Leonard of Raton, New Mexico; Raymond of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Roy and Richard of Winslow, Arizona; Roland of Seattle, Washington; Dempsey of Jackson Port, Arkansas; Dale of Newark; two daughters, Mrs Lillian Webb of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Mrs Dovie Clark of Diaz, Arkansas.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pine Grove Church near Gid, Ark., with Bro. Herman Lewis of Southside officiating. Burial was in Reeves Cemetery with Davies Funeral Home, of Batesville.
