T.J. Jones HACKETT — T.J. Jones, 81, of Hackett, formerly of Van Buren, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a retired press operator for Whirlpool Corp. in Fort Smith, a deacon and member of Tyro Community Church in Midland and an Army veteran of World War II. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Inez; three daughters, Shirley Yeakley of Hackett, Peggy Blount of Van Buren and Sandra Huff of Cedarville; a son, William Jones of Warner, Okla.; a sister, Margie Brink of Kingman, Ariz.; a brother, Cleo "Bugg" Jones of Hackett; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Allen, Shawn and Dewayne Jones, Gary Yeakley, Shane Blount, Carl Yeakley and Khristopher King. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Leora W. Jones, 95 of Adair, Oklahoma, died, Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Adair, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker, formerly of Natural Dam, Arkansas, a member of Christian Life Church in Van Buren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jones and two sons, Dale & Hollis Jones.
He is survived by: one daughter, Loretta J. Hibbard and husband, Thorman both Adair, Oklahoma; One sons, Thomas Jones Jr. of Van Buren; four sisters, Polly Johnson & Olena Harris both of Van Buren, Parthena Campbell of Weewok, Oklahoma, Gale Dean of Dean Springs; two brothers, Curtis Workman & Bob Workman both of Liberty Hill, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; seventeen granchidren; thirteen great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Harris, Jack Johnson, Percy Rose, Russ Workman, Keith Workman, Mike Workman
