Gerald Jones, 58, of Dyer died Friday, July 12, 2013, in a local hospital.

He was a member of Westark Church of Christ in Fort Smith and a driver for Wal-Mart. Gerald loved fishing, camping and his grandchildren and was a faithful husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Ernest Jones; a sister, Kay Mitchell; and a brother, Gene Jones.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Gerald will be cremated following the funeral service with interment of ashes at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer. Service and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy of the home; a daughter, Sherry Wyninger and her husband Chad of Mulberry; three sisters, Joyce Wright of Tenkiller, Okla., Betty Krajewski of Van Buren and Sue Windham of Greenwood; two brothers, Kenny Jones of Kibler and Robert Jones of Ohio; two grandchildren, Aliya and Jaxon Wyninger, both of Mulberry; and his mother-in-law, Mary Kelly of Dyer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Vardaman, Tom Kelly, Alan Foliart, Debbie Foliart and the Band of Brothers Walmart Truck Drivers.
