SELIGMAN, Mo. - Betty Cotton, 73, of Seligman died Feb. 20, 2005, at St Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born April 14, 1931, in Hamlin, Texas, to Edgar and Pearl Powell Decker. She grew up in Hamlin and Abilene, Texas, and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1948. She married Walter Lee Cotton, on Jan. 5, 1973, at McCaskill. She moved to the area in 2000 from Texas and was an accountant for 32 years retiring in 1993. She taught Sunday school and Bible study at Central Baptist Church in Hamlin for many years. She was a member of Blessing Heights Worship Center in Cassville, Mo. She enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Cotton of the home; four sons, Danny Beene and wife Rebekah of Arkadelphia, Johnny Cotton of Gateway, Doug Cotton and Roy Cotton and wife Jamie, all of Pea Ridge; five daughters, Becky Warner and husband Richard and Peggy Parker and husband Leonard, all of Garfield, Mary Skelton and husband Harold and Connie Hendrix and husband Danny, all of Seligman, and Tammy Skelton of Renton, Wash.; one sister, Eddy Brigham of Hamlin; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pratt Cemetery with Jack Freeman and Danny Beene officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Walter Lee Cotton, 89, of Seligman, died October 22, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

He was born April 12, 1927 in Rogers to John L Cotton and Pearl Graham Cotton. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving with the military police and was awarded the Victory Medal. He was a retired truck driver and worked for Tyson Foods Maintenance Dept. in Rogers. He loved to fish and hunt and playing cards with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Betty Cotton; a daughter, Becky Warner; a brother, Tom Cotton, a sister, Mae Stover; two grandchildren and mother of his children, Betty Phillips.

Survivors are three sons, Johnny Cotton (Betty) of Garfield, Doug Cotton (Steve) of Bella Vista, Roy Cotton (Jamie) of Pea Ridge; four daughters, Mary Skelton (Harold), Peggy Parker (Leonard), Connie Hendrix (Danny) all of Seligman, Tammy Cotton of Renton, Wa.; a step-son, Danny Beene (Rebecca) of Arkadelphia, Ar.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26 at Pratt Cemetery in Garfield with Pastor Stanley Nichols officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
