ROGERS (Special) - Manuel Cotton, 62, resident of Rogers died Saturday morning in Veteran's Hospital. Born April 29, 1898 in Springdale, he moved with his parents to Rogers in 1901 where he engaged in farming. He was a veteran of World War I and returned to Rogers after his war time service and followed the occupation of a painter until he retired because of ill health. Mr. Cotton married Hattie May McComb on December 7, 1921, who survives him.
Other survivors are three sons, George of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ted and Charles both of Rogers, five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Reeves, Mrs. Gracie Pace and Mrs. Barbara Roberts of Rogers, Mrs. Margie Johnson of Pea Ridge and Miss Jessie May Cotton of the home; one sister, Mrs. Lou White of Cave Springs and sixteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Burns Funeral Chapel by the Rev. E. C. Boatman, pastor of the House of Prayer Church on Highway 62, north of Rogers. Burial will be in Rogers cemetery.

Hattie Mae Cotton, 76, of Rogers died Wednesday in Rogers Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 31, 1906 near Marionville, Mo. She came to the Rogers area in 1922 from Marionville. She was a housewife and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Rogers.
She is survived by three sons, George Cotton of Exeter, Mo., Ted Cotton and Charlie Cotton, both of Rogers; five daughters, Hazel Bean and Margie Johnson, both of Pea Ridge, Gracie Pace of Rogers, Barbara Roberts of Pierce City, Mo., and Jessie Starnes of Exeter, Mo.; a sister, Margie James of Wyandotte, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Burns Funeral Chapel, Rogers, with the Rev. Charles E. Faulkenberry officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Chapel.
