ROGERS — Charlie J. Cotton, age 85, of Rogers, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 9, 2012. He was born in Rogers on Feb. 12, 1927, to the late Manuel and Hattie (McComb) Cotton.
Charlie retired from Tyson Foods and was a member of the House at God in Rogers. He loved fishing with his son and grandson, tending his garden, and was the number one fan of the Rogers Little League Giants.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine (Pendley) Cotton of the home; son, Billy Cotton of Rogers; grandson, Charlie and wife Leslie of Rogers; and his great-granddaughter, Jenna. He is also survived by a brother, George Cotton of McAlester, Okla.; sisters, Barbara Roberts of Purdy, Mo., Margie Johnson of Pea Ridge, Jessie Starnes of Exeter, Mo., Hazel Bean of Pea Ridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Cotton; sister, Gracie Pace; and daughter-in-law, Sarah Cotton.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, should be made to the House of God, 214 N. First St., Rogers, 72756.

ROGERS — Opal Maxine "Maxine" Cotton, 81, of Rogers went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on June 28, 2020. Maxine was born Jan. 15, 1939, in Phillipsburg, Mo., to the late Herman DeWitt Pendley and Ruth Elizabeth Arnold Pendley.
She was also preceded by her loving husband of 56 years, Charlie Cotton, sisters Martha Pressley and Darlene Root and brothers Bill and Bobby Pendley.
Mrs. Cotton devoted her life to caring for her family and enjoyed her church, the House of God in Rogers, where she was a long-time member.
Survivors include son Billy Cotton of Rogers; sister Joyce Arnold of Rogers; brothers Don Pendley (Diane) of California, Clyde Pendley and Ronnie Pendley (Allene), all of Rogers; grandson Charlie Cotton (Leslie) of Rogers; great-granddaughter Jenna Cotton; caregiving niece Rhonda Cowan of Pea Ridge; numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020, with visitation in the chapel beginning at 10 a.m. and her funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m., at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Interment will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.RollinsFuneral.com.
