RUSSELL, William H. - Funeral services for William H. Russell, who died Thursday at his home north of Rogers, were held Saturday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Tom B. Clark officiating. Mr. Russell was born near Albany, Ind. April 20, 1841. He served three years in the civil war. He married Miss Mary S. Newton of McClain, Ill. in 1868 and moved to Kansas in 1878 where he lived 42 years, coming to Benton county six years ago. Surviving him are his wife and three sons: I.O. Russell of Kansas, R.N. and G.E., both of this city. He was a member of the Masonic order for almost 50 years.

RUSSELL, Mary Newton - Mrs. Mary Newton Russell, aged 81, died at her home at 314 South Second street Monday following a short illness. Mrs. Russell became ill last Wednesday. Mrs. Russell formerly lived in Great Bend, Kan. but had been a resident of Benton county for 10 years. Funeral services were held at the First Christian church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Oscar Ingold officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers cemetery with A.D. Callison in charge. Surviving are three sons, Dr. R.N. Russell and Guy E. Russell of Rogers and I.O. Russell of Wichita, Kan. and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Wilson, Ellsworth, Ill. and Mrs. Charles Spears, Bloomington, Ill.
