HUNTSVILLE — Barbara Ann Mayo, 69, Huntsville, died Jan. 24, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 16, 1941, at Smackover, Ark., to J.B. and Marie Norwood Cassel.
She was a retired X-ray tech. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale, where she was active with the Food Pantry. She later attended United Methodist Church in Huntsville. She was a member of Red Hat Society, Eastern Scar 487, Aurora Lady Bugs EH Club and enjoyed gardening, cooking and her pets, but most of all her family.
She was preceded in depth by her husband, Carlos Mayo: one sister, Myrna Hunt; and one brother, Jimmy T. Cassel.
She is survived by three daughters: Lynn Simco of Fayetteville, Katie Reynolds and husband, Tony, and Carolyn Mayo of Springdale; one special daughter, Dianna Yarbrough of Huntsville; one sister, Linda Martin-Marshall of Smackover, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Dr. Charlie Brown officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
