Oma Jeanette Smith, 82, of Greenwood died Thursday, November 22, 2001. Born January 28, 1919, to James Henry and Carrie Agnes Powell DuBose, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Smith, and a brother, Bobby DuBose.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Carol Smith of Fort Worth, TX, Donna Stewart of Little Rock and Janet Patton of Greenwood; one brother, James DuBose of Crossett; five sisters, Leta Kelley, Rena Tucker, Betty Murphy, and Elise Courson, all of Crossett, and Ollie Barnett of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Brian, Whitney, Abby, Joseph, Caroline, Mary Alice and Lucie, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, in the Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie DuBose and Gary Farmer officiating. Pallbearers were Harold Allen Tucker, Ronnie Tucker, Steve Courson, Danny Courson, Richard Murphy and Matthew Farmer. Burial followed services at the Outlaw Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
