Obituary:
William Foster Smith, age 87, of Warren, AR, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his home. He was born January 1, 1932, in Harrisburg, AR, a son of the late William Henry Smith and Dellar Britnell Smith. Foster was a retired ferryboat captain at Moro Bay, the retired owner and operator of Smith Barber Shop, a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of First United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and loved spending time with his family. Also preceding him in death were brothers Lushen Smith, Larkin Smith, Merdie Smith, Pete Smith, Felix Smith; sisters Genora Powers, Julia Barker, and Annette Qualls. Surviving is his wife Elizabeth Clanton Smith who he married March 10, 1964. Two sons Greg Mann and spouse Rachelle of Monticello, AR, and Jeff Smith of Warren, AR. Two grandchildren Joseph Smith and spouse Allison, Gabby Mann, and a great-grandchild Eli Smith. A special sister in law Shirley Clanton of Warren, AR. Funeral service was 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at Frazer�s Chapel with Rev. Gary Harrison and Rev. Timmy Williams officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls, by Frazer�s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Billy Furgerson, Jimmy Furgerson, Mark Clanton, David Clanton, Alan Savage, Joseph Smith, and Tim Smith. Memorials are preferred to Bradley County Veterans Museum, 210 North Main St, Warren, AR, 71671. The family thanks Dr. Kerry Pennington and Home Health for their support and service.
