Danny Ray Smith, age 56, of Hermitage, AR. died Thursday, August 8, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR. Born September 9, 1956 in El Dorado, AR. he was a retired millwright and member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Bessie Mann Smith, brothers Lamar Smith, James “Odie” Howard Smith and a sister Phyllis Jean Smith. Survivors are his wife Frankie McClellan Smith whom he married December 5, 1999. 2 sons David Smith and spouse Cindy, Stephen Smith all of Conway, AR. 1 daughter Phyllis Clanton and spouse Richard, Conway, AR. His father Cloyce Smith, Hermitage, AR. 2 brothers Allen Thomas Smith and spouse Debbie, Woodlawn, AR., Doyle Wayne Smith and spouse Sheila, Warren, AR. 5 grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Inzer and Rev. Don Smith officiating. Laverne Freeman was organist and James “Bubba” Smith was soloist. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bobby Bennett, Dewayne Adair, Norman Word, James Evans, Tracy McClain and Daniel Rochelle. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Gardner, Billy Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, Melvin Mills, Danny Young and Mike Doss. Memorials preferred Landmark Missionary Baptist Church or John R. Williamson Hospice House.
