MOUNTAIN HOME — Jerry Dean Hicks, 74, of Mountain Home died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, in Mountain Home.

Born Oct. 26, 1937, in Calico Rock, he was the son of Wilburn Lynn Hicks and Eva Pearl Hall Hicks. He was a life-long resident of Izard County. He was united in marriage to Linda Grissom on Aug. 4, 1965, in Calico Rock. He was a truck driver, having been employed by Hayes Brothers Trucking, McNeil Trucking and King Trucking. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Arkana Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years; four sons, Larry Jones of Hot Springs, Lynn Hicks of Yellville, Tim Hicks of Batesville and Tony Hicks of Berryville; a sister, Francis Russell of Rogers; six grandchildren, Cody Wallace, Brent Jones, Arlin Hicks, Jordan Hicks, Brooklyn Hicks and Destin Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Jones and Allie Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Manual Macks officiating. Burial will be in Staggs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Hicks, Timothy Hicks, Lynn Hicks, Larry Jones, Charles Townsend and David McNeil.

Honorary pallbearers are Rayburn Adams, Jim Lindsey, Joey Bray, Jim Poe, Jim King, Paul King, Kenny Woodard, Orland Grissom and Kevin Grissom.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
