Nadine Ford Hicks, 76, of Melbourne passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her home.
She was born August 23, 1937 in Weslaco, Texas and was the daughter of Jewell Pleasant Ford and Edith Rebecca Jones Ford.
She was a homemaker and served as an elder at Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Ruthie Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and served as a first responder and firefighter.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hicks of Melbourne; a son, Ronnie Rinehart of Marked Tree, Arkansas; stepson, Ricky Hicks of Byhalia, Mississippi; a daughter, Sharon Collins of Marion, Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Sandra Bradley of Alexander, Arkansas; two brothers, Lawrence Ford of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Chester Ford of Tyronza, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Stan Marrs and Jeff Sanders.
Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Troy Norton, D.J. Bradley, Jacob Rinehart, Glenn Collins, Christopher Stover and Dale Parker.
Honorary pallbearers are the Ruthie Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the funeral home.
