Chief Master Sgt. Diana Lynn Tucker, 51, beloved mother, grandma and friend. She was born Dec. 27, 1953, in Shreveport, La.

Our cherished loved one has passed on to be with our Lord in heaven. She left peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, Dec. 3, 2005.

Diana's life was filled with great accomplishments and admiration. She was committed to helping others in both her personal and professional life. She dedicated her life to ensuring her two sons would become good men. She devoted her time wherever needed and to whomever needed a shoulder to lean on.

She helped many people find jobs and support their families in need. She donated her time and efforts to help individuals displaced by Hurricane Katrina find a new job and home here in Arkansas.

Her service to our state and country will truly be missed. Diana worked diligently for the Northwest Arkansas Certified Development Corp. for 23 years, most recently as the business service manager and EEO officer for the nine regions in Arkansas. She worked closely with several organizations and companies on proper job placements and improving working conditions to maintain employee satisfaction.

She was also a proud member of the Air Force and Air Guard 188th Fighter Wing, serving from Feb. 1, 1973 to Dec. 3, 2005. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming the first woman traditional guardsman to achieve a chief master sergeant ranking in the 188th. During her 28-year tenure with the military, she held several positions and received numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding achievements.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Mae Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Effie and Edward Schrader and uncle, Eddie Schrader.

Surviving relatives are her sons; uncle and aunt; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 at the First Baptist Church in Lowell. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery following the service.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
