Sylvia Faye Tucker, 81, of Gravette, died Sept. 3, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born March 24, 1935, in Chamber Springs, to Elmer Carroll "Red" Black and Ina Chloe (Walker) Black. She and Robert Jack Taker were married Sept. 6, 1952. She retired from Franklin Electric. She was a member of Maysville EH Club and the Maysville Bible church in Maysville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Douglas Tucker; sisters, Fern Haines and Leona Hobdy, brothers, James Black and Vern Black.

Survivors include her husband, Jack of the home; daughter, Patty Sappington of Lowell; sons, Carroll Tucker of Gravette, and Leon Tucker of Gravette; six grandchildren, Shelley Bishop, Stacie Warren, Justin Sappington, Sammie Story, Candace Tucker and Ashley Tucker; eight great-grandchildren, Hayley Cockrum, Noah Starr, Abbie Sappington, Lauren Sappington, Hadley Sappington, Chloe Story, Miles Story and Michael Esquivel; sisters, Betty Woods of Maysville, Jean Martindale of Maysville, and Murel Collins of Pineville, Mo.; and brother, Earl Black of Maysville.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at Maysville Bible Church, Maysville. Burial will follow in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
