Born Izard County, Arkansas.
Died Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.
Son of George Thomas "Tom" & Mary Gillihan Copeland.
Married Jean Skidmore, October 16, 1950, Fulton County, Arkansas.
The White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, April 24, 1980:
Troy C. Copeland, aged 67 of Pineville, died in Calico Rock Medical Center on April 21st. He was the son of Tom Copeland and Mary Gillihan Copeland. He was a retired farmer and Veteran of World War Two. He was also a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home: one son, Denny of Calico Rock; one brother, Jackie Copeland of Mtn. Home; 3 sisters, Ruthie Russell of Dolph, Nola Copeland and Flossie Copeland, both of Kansas City, Kansas; also one granddaughter, Dana Marie Copeland of Calico Rock.
Funeral was at Howard Chapel in Calico Rock, April 23, 1980 and burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery. Rev. Price Lovelace and Rev. Manuel Macks officiating. Howards’ was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were; Ricky Estes, Carl Russell, Don Skidmore, Allen Walton, James Porterfield, and Gerald Wyatt.
