Geo. Thomas Copeland Dies Here Friday
George Thomas Copeland, aged 76, died at his home at this place, Friday, January 26, following an illness of several weeks.
Mr Copeland was a life-long resident of this section. He resided at Cross Roads for many years and moved with his family to Calico Rock only a few years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr Copeland was married to Mary Gillihan. Nine children were born to this union, three deceased. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters and five grandsons and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Wise Chapel, Cross Roads, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Elder William See of Melbourne officiating. Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery with the Hall Funeral Service in charge.
