James A. Ball, 75, of Fayetteville, died Monday, September 14, 1992 at a Fayetteville hospital. He was born October 3, 1916 at Witter, Arkansas, the son of Willis Blane and Armintie Harvey Ball. He married Helen Bayley on December 30, 1943. He worked at as a general labor for Campbell Soup, retiring in December 1979 after 30 years with the company. He was a member of the Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville.

Survivers include his wife, Helen Ball of the home; two sons, David and James Ball, both of Fayetteville; two daughters, Doris Osburn and Joyce Sanders, both of Fayetteville; three brothers, Norman and Dewey ball, both of Springdale and Junior Ball of West Fork; four sisters, Amie Bowman of Johnson, Luna Bowers of Springdale, Shirley Landelius of Winslow and Mary Cate of Springdale; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 1992 at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville with Mr. Bobby Dockery officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 1992 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Adams, Paul Baker, Elton Duncan, Arthur Caselman, Robert Sanders and Wiley Vaughn. Honoary pallbears will be Elvin Adams and Bill Sisemore.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
