Mrs. Wasson was the daughter of John and Matilda Pyeatte Sherman. She died Friday, 01 April 1970 in the Springdale hospital. Mrs. Wasson was survived by two daughters, Mrs Thelma Arthurs of Springdale and Mrs Jonnie Richards of Santa Ana, Calif.; one brother; two sisters; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Services were held on Friday at the Harmon Methodist Church under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home. (Transcribed obituary from the 02 April 1970, Northwest Ark Times, Fayetteville, Ark.)
