Obituary from the Springdale News, Jan. 08, 1909: "Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Gallaher returned home Tuesday evening from Cave Springs where they were called some days ago by the illness of B.M. Gallaher, brother of the former. Mr. Gallaher died Monday night at 10:30 and the remains interred in the cemetery at Elm Springs Tuesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Y.A. Gilmore, the burial being under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. lodges of Cave Springs and Elm Springs. Deceased was 68 years of age and had been a resident of this section for two years, coming here from Missouri. He is survived by a widow and five children. The family desire through The News to thank friends both at Cave Springs and Elm Springs for kindnesses shown them during their afflection." ---
Bazel and his family moved from Berwick, Newton Co, Missouri where they had resided for several years. After his first wife, Ellen, died in 1893, Bazel married Mrs. Haley Ross, of Berwick, on 26 Dec 1894. In the 1900 US Census for Van Buren Township, Newton Co, Mo, Bazel listed his birth date as June 1840 in Pennsylvania.
