GALLAHAR, Mary - (from Zion) A terrible accident happened to little Mary Gallahar on the 16th inst. Her and a younger brother were playing in the house when the brother took a loaded pistol from a drawer and in sport pointed it at his sister and accidentally discharged it, the bullet striking her a little below the heart, causing death in a few moments. The boy says he didn't know it was loaded. Mary was a bright, intelligent child seven years of age, had an amiable disposition and was loved by all who knew her. She was buried at Son's Chapel.
