Mr. James C. Brown, age 90, of Mountain Home, died Friday, November 3, 2006. He was born January 24, 1916, at Walnut Grove, Missouri, to James T. and Alberta Garber Brown. On July 20, 1940, he married Zella I. Anderson at Tujunga, California. Formerly an aerospace engineer, Mr. Brown moved to Mountain Home in 1960 from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and founded the Jim Brown Company. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Alley-White American Legion Post #52. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and woodworking.
Survivors are: a son: James D. Brown and a daughter: Katherine Ehle: both of Mountain Home; a sister: Evelyn Clark: Lancaster, California; 3 grandchildren: Dennis Ehle; James N. Brown and Kathy Sue Brown Pangle; 4 great-grandchildren: James D. Brown; Addison Ehle; Zella Morgan Pangle and Brendon Ehle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 3 brothers.
