Born January 8, 1912.
Died July 30, 1978, Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.
He was a former resident of De Soto, Kansas, before moving to Izard County, Arkansas.

Benjamin Walter Brown, age 66, died July 30 at the Calico Rock Medical Center.
Walter Brown, previously from DeSoto, KS, had lived in Izard County 8 years.
Survivors include his former wife, Eva Brown of Four Smith; 6 sons, Jerry, Bob Jimmy and Howard, all of California, also Mike of Alabama and Johnny of Ft. Smith.
He was also survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Harber of Calico Rock and Dorothy Banning of Charleston.
Twelve grandchildren also survived him.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, August 3rd, at the Galatia Methodist Church.
Bro. Garland Skidmore will be presiding over the services.
Arrangements were made by Howard Funeral Home.
