Dr. John Young died at his home at Springdale Tuesday at the age of 78 years. He was a native of Overton county, Tenn. but had lived in Springdale and practiced medicine since 1879. He was one of the oldest and best known physicians in this part of the state. He leaves 3 children, the oldest being Dr. Frank Young of Springdale, president of the State Medical Association. Funeral services were held Wednesday at three o'clock. The Democrat editors had known him since they came to Arkansas 18 years ago nest month.
