Services for 67-year-old Johnny Bowman of Norfork will be at 2PM Saturday at the old Galatia Church with Bro. Donald Nozar officiating. Mr. Bowman died Widnesday (Sep 27, 2000) at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born April 5, 1933, at Norfork to John and Paralee tilley Bowman. He married Katherine Coats on Aug 6, 2000 at Salesville. He was a retired truck driver and loved to fish and hunt. Mr. Bowmam attended Galatia Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Bowman of Norfork; two sons, Billy Bowman of Calico Rock and Johnny Bowman and wife, Johnna, of Norfork; one step son, Roy Lee Johnson of Concordia, Kansas; seven daughters, Regina Lee Rogers of Arizona, Vickey Gege Nozar and Mary Jo Tilley both of Calico Rock, Brenda Ann Johnson of Salesville, Rose Marie Robins of Garfield, Connie Jean Muniz of Batesville and Pamela Mae Burchfiel of the United Kingdom; one step brother, LeRoy Null of Mt. View; three sisters, Stella Hall and Lolla Perry both of Norfork and Lizzie Teague of Kansas; 26 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Bowman was prececed in death by his parents; a step mother; one borther, Lois Bowman; one step brother, Virgil Null; and two grandchildren, Luther William and Billy Duane Bowan, Jr.
Visitation will be from noon-8PM today at Baxter County Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM. Interment will be in the Galatia Cemetery.
Pallbeareres will be Charles Crider, J.D. Crider, Jackie Lucy, Craig Stevens, James Tilley and Andy Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be William Nozar, Randy Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Eric Bear, Johathan Bear, Jesse Bowman, Logan Burchfiel, Landon Burchfiel, Eddie Rogers and James Julian.
Arrangements are by Baxter County Funeral Home.
