George Preston Bowman, age 80, died Marcn 5, 1982 at Calico Rock Medical Center.
The son of Miles and Janie Bowman he was a retired farmer.
Sruvivors include his wife Mary Jane Tilley Bowman of Calico Rock; five sons, Johnnie Miles Bowman of Norfork, Paul Ray Bowman and Jesse Earl Bowman both of Mt. Home, Blevins Eugene Bowman of Culp, Howard Wayne Bowman of Cold Water; three daughters Betty Lawson of Norfork and two daughters of a former marriage. One brother also survives, John Ervin Bowman of Calico Rock. Other survivors include six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 7, at 2PM at Galatia Methodist Church with burial at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Loosey, Jerry Villneff, Harvey Loosey, Billy Bowman, Buck Cornwell, and David Davis.
