Luther Roman Monroe Bowman, 30 years of age, died early Friday morning, February 28, at his home in Calico Rock, and funeral services were held Sunday, March 2 at the Galatia Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Martin officiating.
Mr. Bowman, who was born in Baxter County on December 24, 1928, was the son of John William Bowman and Mrs. Pearl Lee Tilley Bowman. He was a lifetime resident of this area.
Survivors include his father, John William of Norfork Star Route; his stepmother, Mrs. Lois A. Bowman; a brother, John William Bowman, Jr.of Old Joe; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Hall of Old Joe and Mrs. Lizzie Tig and Mrs. Lola Perry both of Wichita, KS; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Tilley of Old Joe; two stepbrothers, Leroy and Virgil Nall of Norfork; a stepsister, Mrs Jane Mason of St. Louis MO; his step grandpparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton of Norfork, three uncles and four aunts.
Interment was in Galatia cemetery. roller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
