John R. Wooten, 84, Rt. 1, Decatur, died March 13 in Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Van Buren. Born Nov. 23, 1893, at Burgin Valley community in Benton County, he was the son of N.B. and Margaret Osbourn Wooten, a retired farmer and lifetime resident of the area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Wooten of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Martin of Alma; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m Thursday in Glad Tidings Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Payne officiating. Burial will be in Barron Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
